"The Drinking Posts I installed in my barn in Northern Vermont worked so well, that when I sold my Vermont home and built a home in Montreal, I not only moved my horses but the Drinking Posts as well! They were installed outdoors in 1989. The Drinking Posts are now 20 years old and they work all year round as well as they always have; whether it's 85 F or -20 F!!!
I never once considered even looking at another horse watering system, once I found this one, there's simply nothing that comes close to it; and we can have some pretty wicked winters here."

"Those Drinking Posts are so great. I tell all my horse friends about them. I've seen alot of waterers but all of them require electricity which I feel is unsafe around horses."

"It is essential that horses maintain access to a clean, ample supply of drinkable water during the cold winter months, " says Dr. Bullock. "They run a real risk of impaction colic if they don't get enough to drink, either because it is frozen or because it is too cold for them to drink comfortably. Gulping down freezing cold water after a workout can make a horse pretty uncomfortable," says Dr. Bullock. "It should be at least 40 degrees."
